I am a student of journalism in my final year studying at Leeds University’s Trinity College. The course has helped me develop my writing and linguistic skills as well as gaining practical skills in web design, video production / presentation and magazine production.

The latter inspired me to take up a professional role in the layout and design of magazines and more
broadly developed a passion for graphic design. For the past eight months I have been working for Here & Now Magazine where I have learnt invaluable skills in software such as Quark, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, as well as using my journalistic flair to write features for the publication. To date I have also gained experience in designing flyers, adverts, logos, identities, illustrations, and web sites. Also featured is my winning design for a competition run by NHS Leeds.

I am also responsible for the layout and design (as well as being a feature writer) of an on campus magazine called Flip Side, which can be viewed below in PDF format, as well as other examples of my work. More recently I have become the chief designer of Chukazi Magazine, a bi-monthly publication aimed at African women living in the United Kingdom.
